It's another drizzly Friday here in the eternal city, and other than 2 papers to write, I thought, "What better thing do I have to do than write and let everyone at home know how I'm doing?" :-) Here's a bullet list of recent thoughts and activities:
- I like the rain here because it washes the cobblestones clean of dog poo and spilt gelato and other un-fun stuff. I don't like the rain, though, because I have the same problem here as I do at home: my trousers are soaked on the bottom 6 inches!
- Last Friday I got to spend another afternoon with Everett. There was a transportation strike on Friday, so it took extra long to get to their house, and I ended up having to take a taxi. I think it was my first time taking a taxi by myself - no problems though, the driver was one of the few respectful Italian men I've met. Everett and I went to the park (twice - I stayed the night and babysat Saturday too so we made another trip there). Here's some picts, sorry they're rather small, I copied them off my facebook account:

- My weekend at the Sifer's in Naples was awesome! Their American/Italian home was so welcoming, and driving onto the Navy Support base was like being in the US, but without the plane flight. And for the record: Napolian pizza is pretty darn amazing :-).

Three shoppers!- Classes are going well (I include this just for all you people who are concerned about my academics!). I've got to get over the big hurdle before finals, which means all the teachers have assigned papers and reports and fun stuff like that over the next week and a half... It's hard to believe once I get past this wave of the academic load, and then through finals, it'll be time to head home!
- For Thanksgiving I'm heading to Morocco to hang out with the gang there. I only have a four day weekend, but it'll be enough to satisfy my family-ness craving.
- On the church front, I've joined the chior at RBC. We're doing a Christmas service on December 9th - if you're in the area, pop in! I've continued teaching the youth Sunday School group. It's a great group of kids even though I never know who's going to show up. Esther and I also keep doing the Bible study at McDonalds. We're really enjoying the study in Ephesians and the accountability of meeting each week.
- Roommates are well, apartment is well, if a little cold on days like this... I'm at the computer lab now because my computer battery is dead and Ashley hasn't been around to recharge it lately. I also find that I get more work done when I'm not distracted with stuff at home... until I log onto my blog spot! :-)
I better hop on that paper. I'm determined to not leave until I finish the last four pages...
Love and Hugs,
Dani
